Let's hear your joke, Danny!!! 0-4-3 -2-1-------------Clink! Interesting - interesting - interesting Look! Stop! Forget! Science and Social Studies are important subjects and they are treated as such in our school. Some courses that are offered are as follows: Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Sociology, Psychology, American History, World History, Okla. History, and International Affairs. To promote inter- est in these subjects, projects axe made in the Science classes and abstracts plus other articles of interest are used in the Social Studies classes. Social Studies and Science No comment. 56 Among the many vocational arts offered in our school, Mechanical Drawing is one of these. Mechanical Draw- ing is a course that will aid many students in the future. Kf' } Home Ec Girls and Mrs. Hajek preparing for Chicken Supper. It's practically grease free. We fried it with Crisco. It's a little burnt around the edges though. Oh well, no one's perfect. I bet you took that on pur- pose! !! Home Ec stands for many things. For example, it stands for the learning of cooking, sewing, and just learning about oneself. Our Home Ec classes have been very active this year, and the girls all seem to enjoy Home Ec class very much. Mrs. Hajek, our Home Ec teach- er, on K. P. duty. You must tell me where you buy your patterns! 58 I just love to cook! I just love to wash dishes! Round um up. Ye-Haw and move um out!! Vocational Agriculture provides an opportunity for youth in agriculture to learn, to do, to earn, to serve. Experience in leadership, citizenship and cooperation, also the pursuit of vocational and educational objectives to provide these young peo- ple with opportunities to excel, to grow and to be- come outstanding youth leaders for agriculture in America. A Mechanical man!! Whose idea was this??? V 0 c a t 1 0 n a 1 A r t s Keep those boys pinned-up, Arlie!!! 59 The emphasis of business educa- tion classes is on a basic business background to provide students with personal use skill or the basis for more advanced business training after high school graduation. The courses offered are Typing I, Typ- ing II, Bookkeeping I, Business Ma- chines, and Business Math. Weâre sorry we didn't get our home work done, Mrs. Divilbiss; please don't shoot. Mark: Itâs too late now; she gave you fair warning. Right through the tie! 60 Business Drivers Education All Aboard!!! Mr. Duke, do you still like to draw pictures? What's so interesting boys???' The purpose of Driver's Education is to ex- pose the beginning driver to the many phases of driving and to prepare him to become a skillful driver. Carter, are you camera shy??? 61 Today - vocal . . . tomorrow - the Oklahoma City Civic Center (?) Wanna hear a good dirty joke about Bach? No more volume, a little more harmony, maybe? The little Drummer Boy! M u s i c Trial - drag down Cherokee! 62 Smile, you're on Candid Camera! %8 :si W The Look of Love is in your eyes - is it for MATH??? What a day for a daydream. Knock! Knock! â fi agj; Math Trigonometry, and Analytic Geometry. 63 Speech and Languages Then I hit him with a left hook!!! 'Our Fearless English Teacher' checking the black list!! . In our school there has been established a definite purpose in the teaching of English and public speeching. English classes have constructed projects and written pa- pers illustrating different periods in literature. Speech classes show interest too. During the years, speeches on various subjects can be heard echoing through the halls of M. H. S. The highlight of the year for the students of the speech class is presenting plays. Much interest is focused on these subjects and they play a great role in Educational Development. Good class discus- sion, huh, Debbie??? 64 65 ACTIVITIES Junior - Senior Banquet and Prom Gone With the Wind 68 - 69 The '69 Junior-Senior Prom and Banquet were events the Class of '70 will never forget. Many hours were spent in stuffing the hedges, hanging crepe pa- per, and finishing decorations. The Suite Raisins entertained us at the Prom; immediately afterwards a show and breakfast was scheduled. 69 How could you keep it from me? Hey, hey hey! 'The British are coming!
