Y Bedford jJStglj JStljooI Cardinals 'B5 We dedicate the 1965 Cardinal to one who has ascribed herself to the teaching of the young, Mrs. Thelma Fogle. First graders enter a new and frightening world, but Mrs. Fogle, with wisdom and reassuring love, shows them the joy of learning. She plants the seed of education and through the year she carefully guards its growth. And when the children are ready, she sends them on to discover more and even greater adventures in their quest for knowledge. For your great service and sacrifice, Mrs. Fogle, this school, the community of Medford, and count- less others say-----Thank you and God Bless You. We then began utilization of these energies and accomplished the following: Hazel Walker basketball game, ping-pong tournament, volleyball tournament, fruit basket for the nursing home, helped the FTA on Teachers Apprecia- tion Day, made the annual payment on the inter-com, a clothing drive, and col- lected funds for the Kennedy Memorial Library. The Future Teachers of America is an organization of juniors and seniors who are interested in teaching and counselling as a profession. The FTA is a young organization in our school, yet in two years, it has established the reputation of being an important and responsible body. The FTA has two main money-making projects: the coat check stand at the basketball games and a paper back book sales stand in the library. The FTA co-operates with the Student Council in sponsoring the activities during National Education Week and Teacher Appreciation Day. The FTA is instrumental in many other important activities of Medford High School.
