Homecoming Celebration Of Medford School Highly Successful Despite Rain Afternoon Parade To Be One Of Big Highlights At Medford Homecoming Medford Redbirds And Jet Tigers Hammer Out Sparkling 6 To 6 Tie Board Of Education Studies Plans For New Medford School Building The Medford board of educat- ion took tentative steps at a meeting Monday night to submit plans for a new district No. 54 Billings, Medford Basketball Squads Split League Bill Medford Girls Win Opener, Local Boys Drop Second Contest Local Girls, Pond Creek Boys Win In Loop Cage Action Medford Squads Will Journey To Billings For Two Games Friday The Medford girls and the Pond Creek boys were victorious Tuesday night as the two cage ! squads divided a Cherokee Strip conference doubleheader at the physical educational gym. DISTRICT TOURNEY TO BE AT MEDFORD The district basketball tourn- ament will be played at Medford this year, the Oklahoma High School Athletic association de- cided this week. Competition will be in both class B and class C. Medford Girls And Tonkawa Boys Win Local Cage Action Local Squads Due To Play At Manchester In Conference Tilts Medford and Tonkawa divided a non-conference doubleheader Friday night at the local physical education gym. The Medford girls won, 35-22, and the Tonkawa boys won, 62- 49. VACATION TO END The Christmas vacation period will end for the Medford school with the resumption of classwork Monday, Jan. 4. SEMESTER TO START The Medford school will open the second semester next Mon- day. First semester examinations are expected to be finished today. Essay Contest To Attract Entries Guy McCoy, history teacher in the Medford high school, has re- ported to the Medford Progress club that several students plan to enter the essay contest spon- sored by the second district, Ok- lahoma State Federation of Wo- mens clubs.
