L MECKLING SPORTS TRAIL IN 1945-46 1945-46 looked very promising in the sports field when Meckling started off her season by defeating all comers in baseball. The Meckling UPanthersH finished the basketball season by play- ing in the district tournament at Elk Point where they reached the semi-finals by defeating the Jefferson Hblackhawksn and the Univerg sity High HCubs.U The NPanthersH received their new basketball suits in time to wear them at the district tournament. The new suits are gold with green numbers and green stripes. High point man for the basketball season was Leo Hollingsworth with 180 points to his credit.
