The purpose of the Art Club is to promote an active interest in art in the school and to contribute to artistic works of the school. Each member must be enrolled in an Art class. Daily cries from the members were; “We didn’t spill the paint. I thought we just drew in this class.” An occasional “Don’t saw the leg off the table” from Mrs. Locks added excitement to the club. La Foule Francaise was established in 1970. Its aims are to promote a better understanding of the French customs, culture, and language. The club gave a skit for Thanksgiving, and sang songs in French for the Christmas play. 32
