The vision of the eighth grade “Knight” is blurred by the indecision of making five- year plans, the excitement and uncertainty of acquiring new friends, and the uneasi- ness of confronting teachers. Sports activities, pep rallies, sock hops, and club partici- pation open the eighth grad- ers eyes to pleasures never before experienced. Attempt- ing to find himself, the eighth grader takes the initial step toward individualism. ms.n The ninth grader enters the second year of Irigh school with a feeling of se- curity and a sense of his being a part of the whole. Although his activities are Umited, the freshman athlete visualizes his victorious team in the up- coming years. New perspec- tives are introduced to the freshman through literature, French, and world history. The knowledge he learned yesterday will make today’s game easier to play.
