METS Mcts is a program designed for students who are unsure of the occupational field they would like to enter. It provides a balanced combination of many different programs. After a year in the Mcts course a student should be able to decide on a specific pro- gram. This is the first year that this program has been offered. It should be quite helpful. Joanne Soucy Mels 24 Deanna Hubbs Henrietta Craft Paula Morrison Ron Montanari Cosmetology II Horse Cure I Unique Placement Horse Care The Horse Care program combines theory and “hands on ’ experience to train students in horse handling It prepares one for a career as a trainer, or veterinarian’s assistant. Cosmetology Students enrolled in this program learn salon management as well as the arts of styling and waving human hair. One in- teresting aspect of this program is that students receive “live” shop ex- perience. Unique Placement Students taking the Unique Place- ment program arc provided with alter- native means for meeting their goal. Once the goal is es- tablished. a place- ment site in the community is devel- oped. Machine Trades II Machine Trades Machine Trades provides instruction in the use of ma- chines and the mate- rials for assembling projects. Theory, blueprint reading and other entry level employment skills arc taught

E an Edwards Auto Mechanics II John Dunn Auto Mechanics II AUTO MECHANICS Auto Mechanics is a two-year program which trains students to repair and maintain many kinds of vehicles. Students learn to locate problems through diagnosis and perform the necessary repairs using modern equipment. This experience and instruction prepares students for entry level employment in the Auto Mechanics field. COMPUTER PROGRAMMING him Lesson Computer Programming I Computer Programming helps prepare students for a career in the fast paced world of computers. The program concentrates on current computer languages such as basic, cobol and fortran. Career opportunities arc dependant on one's background in math and com puters. However, students with a working knowledge of programming can receive jobs as terminal opera- tors. control clerks or mini computer operators. A post secondary education is also an alternative that can be considered Eric Dvorak Small Engines Bob Baan Susan Masters Printing Trades II Warehousing I Walt Elkins V. w e. for se Small Engines Printing Trades Warehousing U.W.E. for S.E. In this program, students learn the fundamentals of ser- vicing and repairing two-cycle and four- cycle engines. “Hands-on experi- ence is truly an asset in this program. Printing Trades students gain a basic understanding of ma- chines and materials used in the printing industry. Job oppor- tunities have a wide range in this field. Warehousing teaches all aspects of the wholesale and re- tail business. Those who successfully complete this course arc prepared for jobs such as a warehouse worker, manager or cashier. Unique Work Ex- perience for Small Engines provides stu- dents with funda- mental skills that will help them land a job in the auto repair field
