MATH Our Math Department enjoys the addition of two teachers. Miss Boisvert, who teaches eighth grade Math, and Mrs. Gibcau. who teaches seventh grade. The department has added an Advanced Computer Math course, which Mr. Bombardier teaches in addition to basic Computer Math. Pictured at right: Row I: Mr. Legasse. Row 2: Mr. Gaughan. Miss Boisvert. Mrs. Peterson. Mr. Bombardier. SCIENCE This year the Science Department wel- comed back the familiar faces of Mr Barge, and Mr. Wise, who is the advisor for S.A D.D. (Students Against Drunk Driving). Long time biology teacher Mr. Slate will be leaving us to retire this year, and we will all miss his unfor- gettable wit and wisdom. Pictured left to right: Mr. DeAngclis, Mr. Knapik, Mr. Slate. Mr. Barge, Mr. Rozon. Mr. Wise. BUSINESS Mrs. Bombardier organized this year’s trip to Coblcskill for the competition in typing, shorthand and other areas of business. Both Mrs. Bombardier and Mrs. Hoffman have taken groups to Coblcskill in the past, and as always our business students did well. ENGLISH The English department welcomes this year seventh and eighth grade teachers, Mrs. Abcl- son and Miss Fusco. Mrs. Pickett has taken on a new project, that of teaching the Advanced Placement English course for seniors. This will also be Mrs. Conroy’s last year at MHS, and we wish her luck with her future plans. Pic- tured left to right: Mr. Durden. Mrs. Abclson, Mr. Harris. Mrs. Dclucia. SOCIAL STUDIES Mr. Snyder and Mr. Gruber combined forces to jointly teach a Macroeconomics class this year, which was a successful endeavor for both teachers and students. Mr. Snyder. FOREIGN LANGUAGE Both Mrs. Rogers and Mrs. Durden who hold Masters degrees from SUNY at Albany create a solid foundation in foreign language for all students at MHS. Mrs. Rogers and Mrs. Durden have both devoted time to orga- nizing various activities for their respective clubs such as dining at French and Spanish restaurants, going to plays and cross-country skiing. ART MHS has added to the Art Department the expertise of Mr. Gibeau. who teaches art to pupils in grades seven and eight. Mr. Gibeau is also our yearbook advisor, extending his artis- tic ability to supervise the publication of this book. Mrs. Decker, our high school art teach- er. has enjoyed working with many talented students in her years of teaching, and contin- ues to guide our artists toward perfection. Pic- tured left to right. Mrs. Decker. Mr. Gibeau. MUSIC Miss Shicblcr. conductor of the MHS and Junior High bands, has once again sponsored many concerts and inspired crowds at our home football games this year. HOME ECONOMICS Within the structure of Home Economics, sewing and cooking arc the basic courses of- fered. Both Miss Gardinicr and Mrs. Balda- saro teach seventh through twelfth grades, and say that they have seen an increased interest in the Home Economics field in the past year.
