ENGLISH The English department welcomes this year seventh and eighth grade teachers, Mrs. Abcl- son and Miss Fusco. Mrs. Pickett has taken on a new project, that of teaching the Advanced Placement English course for seniors. SOCIAL STUDIES Mr. Snyder and Mr. Gruber combined forces to jointly teach a Macroeconomics class this year, which was a successful endeavor for both teachers and students. Mr. Snyder. FOREIGN LANGUAGE Both Mrs. Rogers and Mrs. Durden who hold Masters degrees from SUNY at Albany create a solid foundation in foreign language for all students at MHS. Mrs. Rogers and Mrs. Durden have both devoted time to orga- nizing various activities for their respective clubs such as dining at French and Spanish restaurants, going to plays and cross-country skiing. ATHLETIC DIRECTOR Our new Athletic Director this year is Mr Lyons. A graduate of Orange County Com- munity College and Westchester Slate Col- lege. Mr. Lyons holds a Bachelor of Science degree. As well as teaching seventh and eighth grade physical education. Mr. Lyons also coaches our very successful Varsity. J V. and Modified Wrestling teams. I SECRETARIES I This year the secretaries welcomed a new addition to the office; a copier that, has been said, will cut their work load by a large amount, not to mention the benefits it will bring to teachers. MATH Our Math Department enjoys the addition of two teachers. Miss Boisvert, who teaches eighth grade Math, and Mrs. Gibcau. who teaches seventh grade. Both Mrs. Bombardier and Mrs. Hoffman have taken groups to Coblcskill in the past, and as always our business students did well.
