ATHLETIC DIRECTOR Our new Athletic Director this year is Mr Lyons. A graduate of Orange County Com- munity College and Westchester Slate Col- lege. Mr. Lyons holds a Bachelor of Science degree. As well as teaching seventh and eighth grade physical education. Mr. Lyons also coaches our very successful Varsity. J V. and Modified Wrestling teams. I SECRETARIES I This year the secretaries welcomed a new addition to the office; a copier that, has been said, will cut their work load by a large amount, not to mention the benefits it will bring to teachers.  BOARD OF EDUC ATION The 19X4-85 school year has been both a busy and productive time of change for our Board of Education. The seventh and eighth grades moved up to the high school building increasing both the student and faculty enroll- ment. New windows and doors were installed and the swimming pool look on a whole new “look.’ Scheduling, student body numbers, and renovations caused some confusion, but eventually everything worked out well. ADMINISTRATION Along with two new grades, MHS has gained a vice-principal. Mr. Levesque. Mr. Prosser, wrapping up his fifth year as princi- pal. along with Mr Levesque, have made this year of transition run smoothly. Pictured left to right: Mr. Prosser. Mr. Levesque SUPERINTENDENT As Superintendent. Mr. Cocozzo has been a prominent figure in our school and community for a ntimer of years. He has been actively responsible Ifcr the several renovation projects MHS has undergone this year, as well as the adaption and accomodation of the seventh and eighth grades. 10

ENGLISH The English department welcomes this year seventh and eighth grade teachers, Mrs. Abcl- son and Miss Fusco. Mrs. Pickett has taken on a new project, that of teaching the Advanced Placement English course for seniors. This will also be Mrs. Conroy’s last year at MHS, and we wish her luck with her future plans. Pic- tured left to right: Mr. Durden. Mrs. Abclson, Mr. Harris. Mrs. Dclucia. SOCIAL STUDIES Mr. Snyder and Mr. Gruber combined forces to jointly teach a Macroeconomics class this year, which was a successful endeavor for both teachers and students. Mr. Snyder. FOREIGN LANGUAGE Both Mrs. Rogers and Mrs. Durden who hold Masters degrees from SUNY at Albany create a solid foundation in foreign language for all students at MHS. Mrs. Rogers and Mrs. Durden have both devoted time to orga- nizing various activities for their respective clubs such as dining at French and Spanish restaurants, going to plays and cross-country skiing.
