Mathematics Mathematics takes us into the region of absolute neces- sity, to which not only the actual world, but every possible world, must conform. For four thousand years people have been collecting and arranging the necessary mental tools for counting and mea- suring. Even now, new approaches, new ideas, and new techniques are appearing in mathematics. Students must be awake to these new ways so that they can be up-to-date in their knowledge. It looks as if Algebra comes easy in Mrs. Peterson's 2nd period class.
