4 Halfmoon Yearbook, 1947 Halfmooiz- Staff In the latter part of June. IQAto, Prof. Whitbeck called a meeting for the organi- zation of the next year's Halfmoon Staff. Virginia Lane and Hilda Mackenzie were nominated as co-editors; Twila MacPhee, editorial assistant; Marilyn Jen- nings. pictorial assistant; and Sal Izzo and Marie Caruso, business managers. The theme was chosen and some of the work was done during the summer vacation. The money needed to finance the yearbook was earned by the eager Halfmoon Staff who did a rushing business during the football season selling hot dogs and soda on the Recreation Field. They also sold soda and checked coats at the basketball games. More money was obtained by selling greeting cards, wrapping paper, pins, and kerchiefs. The Annual Halfmoon Hysterics also increased the funds. The business managers did a splendid job getting the ads. Most of the work was completed fourth periods by the Halfmoon Staff. The ensuing pages shows what the Halfmoon Staff has accomplished.
