5' is it npnr Front Row left to right Beth McAllister lelna Haskell Joanne Lenahon Betty Bosse Sandra Yates Shirley Brown Nancy Kelth Second Row left to rlqht Mrs Leclerc Alyce Arnold Maxine Raynor Lynda Henley Janice Strout Dianne Rollins Velora Perry Third Row left to right Nancy Lothrop Gladys Meggett Carole Keith Mary Lou Cote Ruth Chabot Marlon Black Slbyl Pearl Sharon French szwf The above picture rs of the gurls softball team for thus coming year We hope they will make as good a showing If not better than the team last year The following IS a summary of last years program The first game of the season was with Casco here at McFalls which was a victory for us 22 to Tl With our first game a vlc tory we looked forward to our next game which we played at Potter This time the odds were aaamst us T6 to T2 Our next game we played at Buckfield with McFalls rackung up 30 points to Buckfield's 2 We next went to Brudgton and lost 4 to 22 Our 5th game of the season was with Buckfield here at McFalls which we took with a score of 35 to T0 Casco whom we played our first seasonal game with was once again trying to gain a victory and this time they were rewarded 31 to T0 The next two games we did not do too well IH Brndgton here at McFalls won T5 to 9 and Dlxfield on their home field won T6 to T4 Our last game of the season was played agamst Dlxfield here at McFalls with our gurls scor mg a vnctorv, T7 points to Dlxfield's 7 Thus with a total of four wlns and five losses we hope to have a more successful team this year

Front Row left to right Pattu Luzotte Carole Keith Shurley Brown Gladys Meggett Glorua Harriman Sharon French Second Row left to rught Duanne Rolluns Betty Bosse Mary lou Cote Barbara Huchunson Pattu Aaron Beth McAllister Coach Muss Donovan Qing fgcwlefgaf The above pucture us of the gurls basket ball team of thus year Even though thus year has not been as outstandung as the previous three or four we know that next year the gurls wull be out there trying and guving ut all they ve got Shirley Brown captain of the team, us a capable player and captain Thus year she began workung on a hook shot and us well on the way to makung ut successful Gladys Meggett us the tunuest player on the team Shes a whuz at outsude shots and uses her shortness to advantage Carole Keuth has been workung on fake passung Her heught and good eye are used profitably under the basket Beth McAlluster, the only lunuor on the team is our center guard. Beth is always there when you need her with lots of spunk and drive. Gloria Harriman is a conservative guard. She always seems to be in the right spot for rebounds and inter- cepted pass ball Pattu Luzotte, a guard us always there to recover a lost ball or to take part un a held ball She can be used as a forward and does a good 'ob at ut too Betty Bosse a substutute forward us good at long shot baskets She s the when you re down and out Ill help you out gurl Pattu Aaron a substutute forward, earned the nuckname of Coosey .lust when she got the feel of partucupatung un a game the ended Maybe next year Pattu' French a substutute guard, us new game of basketball and has um her technuque ummensely sunce the season Sharon at the proved start of the season Barbara Hutchunson a substutute guard, has been instrumental un helping develop understanding of the game to the new players. Eleanor Kelley a substitute guard, because of appendi- citis couldn't play much this year. But when she did play she helped our team out by intercepting passes and receiving balls.
