swf, . M Staff Presents Looking through this M now or after the years have slipped away, there will be many a smile, laugh- ter, or a tear perhaps of those memorable days at MA. October 9 was Homecoming the First big event of the year. Amid the suspense and cheering of the coronation we crowned our king and queen. Hang up Wash. was our slogan, and hang up Wash. we did. It was a thrilling game with a close score, I2-7, MA the victor. The game was followed by a dance in the school gym. February 19. Sno Day. Though originally sched- uled for February 5, we finally crowned queen Iudy Reiling and king Iim McGowan. Since the weather- man refused to cooperate with us, all activities at Como were called off. Again our day closed with a dance in the gym. Editor-in-chief .,... ,,., . . . ....,...,... Bruce Olson Assistant Editor ., ....,., ,.....,.,. .... S h erry Bambusch Sports Editors .. ,.... Through constant effort and hard work the play was a huge success. The Christmas assembly was put on with the com- bined efforts of the Music department, Speech de- partment and stage force. It, too, pleased its audience. Surely you haven't forgotten Valentine's day- with its fun and frolic and blushing faces. Or the Iunior Vaudeville either with all its entertainment. But then came the big event of the year. The I-S Prom. Girls scurried-boys worried. On the following pages we hope we have recaptured for you those memorable events. The M staff pre- sents the school year 1953-54 pictorially.
