We, the Seniors are soon to take part in a sad, yet thrilling experience, the ulti- mate achievement of our school days. On looking back we cannot help but realize how much these years have meant to us. The hilarious delight of winning a football game, the panicky excitement of exams, the breathtaking thrill of going to the prom, and finally the dignified importance of being a Senior, all make graduating a little harder. 1 if 'Q 3 1. f 5271-Qlij.-1.fiW E A 1 31 . ,. - Zzgswwf iss f ' MW MM ffwffw W if5L3?1 5558? In footboll the Trominers were impressive with o 4-l-2 record to shcire second plctce with Morshctll. in the onnudl clcish with Centrcil, the Bluehowks cdme through in good form by trouncing the Minutemen T8-6. The Trciiners were strong dt every key point on the line gs well ds in the bgckfield. MA received two berths on the All-City tectm which were filled by gudrd, Jerry Klemmensen ond end, Gene White. This yeor, cis in every other, the Blue cind White Cdgers mode dn excellent showing with ct 6-3 rec- ord. This stdnding, however, does not give o true picture of the situotion. The three gdmes thot MA lost were by o totol of only five points. This record put them in ci tie with Wilson for second pldce. The Trdiners were chosen to ploy Minneopolis Mor- shoill in the onnuol Twin City gomes. Although they lost, the Troliners mode the best showing of the dfter- noon. This yeor the Trciiners put on ice one of the finest sextets in the history of the school. The Blue Knights ended the sedson with d 6-l-2 record to wind up in third ploce. The Trdiners, who opened up strong with five con- secutive victories, found themselves hdlf g period owoly from the title. Their misfortune come when they met Murroiy, who had but one tie to mor their record. In the ployoffs the Blue ond White sextet dropped 9 .fdfitlzfic .gzafion the first gdme to Murrdy 2-O, but went on to tie Woshington Q-Q for consoldtion honors. In nine con- ference gctmes, however, MA shut out six tedins ond allowed only eight gools to hit the twine. The Troin- ers pldced three men on the All-City tedm. Bill Thurmer, wing, Les Mekoli, defense, ond goolie, Jer- ry Isdcics. When Cooch Al Sundberg looks over his bcxseboll teom this coming spring he will find five returning lettermen to help bring him ctnother chdmpionship. They ore George Kdmroth, Bill Thrumer, Chuck To- doro, Nick Souro, ond Gil Kowglski. With thirteen lettermen for his trock teom Cooch Arthur Wright sees oi bright future. They ore White, Olsen, Weinke, Cossitte, Young, Robinson, Hdrgnd, Ales, Willioms, Kdne, Wolton, Bdlldrd, ond Dohl- cguist.
