STUDENT COUNCIL Under the guidance of Mr. Smith, the Student Council form of government was organized in October, 1939. It pre- sented the realization of Mr. Smith's plans over a period of years. The present Student Council, a truly representative body in every respect, is composed of ten seniors, ten juniors, five sophomores, and is under the facul- ty leadership of Miss Frances Ek. It meets weekly to discuss improve- ments in the school. The Student Coun- cil has undertaken the management of assemblies since September and the presiding chairman is usually a mem- ber of the Student Council.
