THE SENIOR CLASS POEM This is the class of 47 Who's enjoyed school so well We've never had to work so hard That's what the teachers tell. We're all shapes and sizes, Twenty in allg Pleased will be the teachers When we don't return this fall. We've got our names 'bout every place In this school house so dear, Just a memory to the others That we were once here. First comes Donnie Who's very alertg She always looks her best And does she love to flirt? He doesn't drive like a turtle He doesn't drive like a hare It's just Tubby Collier and his car Giving everyone a scare. Popping and cracking Sounds like a drum But don't get me wrong It's just Pat and her gum. There's Ioan Guoli Who tries to be dignified: Flirts with all the Sophomore boys But casts most girls aside. Rosemary Harmon Very studious and smart Whenever John Haughee's present Pitter, patter, goes her heart. Talking and sputtering He's going to be an engineerg 'That's Bob Harpold Working his brain for a career. Next comes Donald Haughee Who really likes to study The only trouble with Hamburger-- His mind is slightly muddy.

Betty Joan Hoke Very quiet and still Causes no trouble For that's against her will. She comes from Rabbit Town And is pretty mean Does lots of giggling That's just natural for Norma Next in line is Ted Lois is his flame He can do most anything But never gets the blame. Benjamin Lige Morlan Envies tall handsome men For he was the little squirt That his mom named Ben . One of the best players On our basketball team Is Bob Murphy Who really turns on the steam. Now there's a little girl About the smallest in the class That's Rosemary Murphy Who's a steady little lass. She likes to laugh And, oh, so quiet: That's Mary Jane Nowling Who never causes a riot. Now there's Marka Jo Who bought glasses But she always has As she twists down the aisle. Freddy Jo speaks so distinctly And really is polite But he's going to be a farmer. For that is his delight.
