SENIOR CLASS WILL LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT: We, the Senior Class of Mecca High School, City of Mecca, State of Indiana, being of sound mind and memory, do hereby publish this as our last will and testament in the manner and form as follows: TO OUR FACULTY: To Mr. Conlin we leave the surprised way of sneaking up on everyone. To Mr. Fortner, the ability to tell tall tales. To Mr. Baker, the habit of eating caramels in class to keep up his strength. To Mrs. Yocum, the ability to run the assembly. To Miss Crooks, the Freshman and Sophomore girls to have a- nother undefeated year in basketball. To Mrs. Mendenhall, the piano and the beautiful voices of all the Freshrnen, Sophomores, and Juniors. To Mr. Roccia, the gym and basketballs, and hope he has a more successful basketball team next year. TO OUR UNDERCLASSMEN: To the Freshmen we leave the ability to put up with the wonder- ful teachers. To the Sophomores, the ability to carve their names on the desks in the assembly. To the Juniors, the ability to skip school and be expelled. TO OUR CLASSMATES: Madonna Carroll wills her yell-leading ability to Patty Robertson. Howard Collier wills his ability to drive a car to Ray Nevins. Patty Cooke wills her ability to pop her gum to Bernice Haughee. Joan Guoli wills her ability to make noise in Fort-ner's assembly to Margaret Akers. Rosemary Harmon wills her ability to slip from the assembly to Patty Brown. Bob Harpold wills his brain to Patty Preece. Donald Haughee wills his bookkeeping ability to Ira Paul Maurey. Betty Hoke wills her quietness to Doug Birch. Norma Jean LaPrees wills her mischievious ways to Rex Smith. Ted McArty wills his basketball ability to Max Taylor. Bennie Morlan wills his shortness to Jean Good. Bob Murphy wills his ability to tell lies to Sonny Yowell. Rosemary Murphy wills her curly hair to Evelyn Boswell. Mary Jane Nowling wills her slimness to Lora Jean Fisher.

William Myers wills his working ability to Gene McDermott. , We hereby appoint J'. W. Conlin, principal of Mecca High School to be the executor without bond, of this our last will and testament, and we hereby revoke all former wills and testamentary instruments. In Witness Whereof, We have hereto subscribed our names and affixed our seal this seventeenth day of April, in the year of our Lord, One Thousand Nine Hundred and Forty-Seven. SENIOR CLASS PR OPHECY One rainy spring morning in 1960, I was browsing about my office in New York when my secretary entered saying that a very impressive looking gentleman wished to see me. He claimed he was an old friend. Of course, many persons tried to gain audience with me through this alibi and I was somewhat inclined to disbelieve it, however, I had Kilroy, the secretary, show him in. As the stranger entered, wearing an old red sweater with a dirty white M on it, I remembered. Why it's Howard. What brought you here? I asked. Well, he replied, my wife and I decided to get out a book on the doings of all our old classmates, what they were doing, you know. We did, and I am going around selling them. They are only two dollars - - -I ---------- ' ' And how is Madonna? Madonna? he repeated blankly. Oh, didn't you hear? She jilted me and entered the movies. The girl I married was Mary Jane. Well, well, I said brightly, though I was dazed, I'll buy a book and read it this morning. He handed it to me and left shortly afterward. The book was interestingg yes, indeed, and well written. Howlit re- minded me of those carefree, youthful days ..... but that is all past. Here is a few things it said: W 1 .
