Mehone High School Mebone, North Corohho Dedicoriori Since the chartering in 1903 and consolidation in 1933 of Hebron, Woodlawn, and Mebane schools into the present Mebane High School, this build- ing has waited with solid patience for the eager calls of students returning year after year. These students, some with reluctance and some with anticipation, appear along the sidewalks and on the great orange buses to fill the classrooms and to absorb the knowledge offered here. Mebane High School is a part of all the students and all the teachers who have ever passed through these corridors, sat in these classrooms, and lingered on this campus. Again the time to consolidate is here, and Mehane High becomes only a part ofthe history of our community. And so it is to you, TI-IE ALUMNI, that we dedicate this last edition of the FURMACOTTO. Mebane High School will live on in your memories, wherever you may be. It is our hope that this volume will help preserve for you your hours of toil, your moments of anxiety, your happy associations, and the pure pleasure you had as a student at Mebane High School. 0 ,J Y 4 If N QQ ,iw 44 if , ,gf ,,,, w7:'2,f ' Xa ,Nw , gli. We wish to show that even though the students change year after year, the classes and activities are basically the same. The football team finished their career in style by winning the Mid- State Champion- ship again. A Dramatics Club and Debating Club were formed and the Science Fair won recognition for outstanding projects. Through PiC1111'ES and copy, we give you Mebane Hi gh School, its spirit, its activities, and its achievements. Seniors, Lennie Harris and Monty Freshwater, operate the slide rule to demonstrate their progress in trigonometry. In order to meet the needs of all students, the Mathe- matics Department at Mebane High School is divided into two parts. The first is practical math for use by students in daily problems and the second, advanced math for those students planning to continue their education on the college level. 9 Mr. Cecil Caison received his B.
