They had successful fund raisers selling items such as jingle bells, Luvkins, and bean bag animals. In the Fall, the club attended the F.H.A. Regional Conference in Marysville, which involved all schools in the Western Region. Another conference attended was for the election of state ofucers during the Spring. A portion of club dues went to the construction fund for the Nation- al F.H.A. Building in Reston, Vir- ginia. The club was advised by Mrs. Kennedy and her cadet Mrs. Kingsbury. F.H.A. was led by en- thusiastic officers: President: Chuck Obina, V.P.: Diane Taylor, Secretary, Rose Bryant, and Trea- surer, Pam Marques. FBLA Gets The students in Future Business Leaders of America are ad- vanced in business skills. The year was a busy one, and F.B.l..A. was led by President Cass Hania, Vice President Wendy Chichester, Secretary Lori Adams: and Treasurer Jennifer Gerrard. Starting off with a big Jelly-Bean contest in October, F.B.L,A. continued with the sale of personal messages through Santa- Grams. Additional fund raisers included porcelain candle holders and World's Finest Chocolate Bars. Ahead In 'SI-' The various fund raisers were needed in order to send repre- sentatives to the F.B.l..A. Student Services - 1 3 Student Services at Meadowdale High School provides the student with academic instruction in school. Activities relate directly to the needs of each student, exist within the reg- ular school program, and provide counseling and guidance for the stu- dent. ln addition, each student is ex- posed to working situations with supportive classroom situations, in order to develop an understanding of his or her own interests and capa- bilities. The goal of Student Services is to ha ve each student realize his or her greatest educational, social, and employment potential, so that a use- ful and productive life may result. I.
