Home Economics Related Occupations Home Economics Related Occupations, is a service oriented club. It is designed to aid the students in mastering skills so they may work at specific jobs in Home Economics. H.E.R.O. 's three-pronged goal for the year was to do something to im- prove each student, perform a service for the school or com- munity, and improve family service. The club sent delegates to the Fall Regional Conference in Marysville, and to the Spring State Conference in Ellensburg. The advisor is Cherry Anne Wiest. Lisa Purdy prepares a salad for an interested diner, H.E.R.O. had fund raisers which included the sale of Warm Fuzzies, selling of Valentine Day Carnations, the Kiss-a-Pig contest, and the frustrated pencil sales. The club participated in the Christmas Assembly, with day-care children 's tradition- al singing of Rudolf and Jingle Bells. They also gave the Chief cheer for the student body in the Spring Pep Assem- bly. Other activities included a Santa Visit, a trip to the beach, a train ride, and bring out pets day.
