Staffers strive for perfection Mesika underwant a major overhaul this year, a new adviser and many new staff members meant a lot of changes. Sue Nielsen, Editor, and Derek Adams, Photo Editor, worked closely with Mr. Ridge, who started vir- tually from scratch as the new adviser to the staff. All of the staffers proved their patience, ability, and dedica- tion repeatedly throughout the year, especially during the final, frantic days before each deadline. Together the staff has strived to make this Mesika an interesting, lively book to revive your memories, as well as to provide an accurate record of the year's events and personalities. F.B.L.A. gets down to business Future Business Leaders of America, or FBLA, is com- posed of students with skills such as typing, accounting, business machines, data processing, business law and shorthand. Members use their skills in business competi- tions. Hours of preparation and training take place be- fore the Western Region Mini-conference in March and the the Washington State Conference in April. Mrs. Duckworth is adviser to the club, which sponsored fund raisers including a newspaper drive, stuffed animal sale and porcelain figure sale.
