The Chieftain, as the only school paper in the district, had an added responsibility to reflect stu- dent attitudes throughout the district. Adviser lack Eschrich, together with lunior Editor Saskia Lund, guided the staff. New staffers managed to put out a paper full of interesting, humorous, and controversial articles and editorials every month. The Chieftain also produced an excellent Christmas issue and a special graduation edition. 1. Brent Eschrich does his impression of the Impressions. 2. Editor Saskia puts a Chieftain staff member in his place while Antonia looks on in disbelief. 3. lanet Blanchard is pleased to discover that her notebook will open both ways. 4.
