irls' Soccer sparked by experience The girls' soccer team set hopes for another Wesco title, but this time the game was not played by them, it was battled out between two teams with just as much drive as the Chiefs. Five returning seniors, led by captain julie Walker, pro- vided strength and speed on the already talented team. The juniors, many returning varsity, provided the exper- ience with midfield skills mastered by Linda DeBoer, Patty Clemans and Polly Becker. Girls in Wesco Girls tennis closed the season with a 12-2 record placing second in WESCO, next to Shorline and Oak Harbor. First singles player Lori Blevins played a good strong game with second position filled by Lucinda Langg Lucin- da and Lori advanced to third round in the Edmonds district. Doubles were covered well by first team Dara Saxby and lanette Nelson and second team Michelle Marcques and Sharma VanSaun.
