Football is sbt with MHS Winning the first two games with ease, the Chiefs' foot- ball team looked like they were well on their way to another Wesco season, but a minor setback put the championship on the back burner. The setback was a three game losing steak, but that was soon cut short with a power packed 35-6 victory against Lynnwood in the Homecoming game. Led by team captain, Dave Malnes, the team had many moments of brilliance. The special teams played an im- portant part in crucial games. Terry Heys had a seventy- seven yard kick-off return in the Homecoming game. Glenn Landro surprised many with thirty-five plus field goals. Talented runningback, Steve Brown, covered the running game with ease and confidence while Tom Schneider used his sticky fingers to grab the long bomb. Although there was no Wesco title this year, the Chiefs football team is always number one with M.H.S.
