The Graduating Class of 1981 Well, here we are, at the world's door. These three years have just flown by! Seems like just yesterday when we were sweating over our new name-Goobers. Nancy Myers, our Sophomore President, helped us to pull together and get organized. That first year we sold candy canes, we were the first Sophomore class to sell t-shirts. In our junior year, aside from being plagued by all the traditional tests, we found the time and energy to sell homecoming t-shirts, but- tons, and banners for the state baseball game. fWow! What a game! We won, of course.J Sue Crawford did a good job as president, in that sometimes trying year in which we were all searching for our own identities. And now, we are T, ,,,, ,,,. M W . 19 finishing our Senior year, that time of times that will never be forgotten. lim Mahan, our Senior Class President, not only put together some original fundraisers-from flower sales to car washes to garage sales- he inspired us to keep going even when the going got rough. We're sweating again, but now it's from the apprehension of facing unknown in horizons. None of us are sure where we go from here, but we all have dreams to follow. And as we leave each other and head our separate ways, may our hearts always be one, knowing we're the best, the Class of '81 . Nourished well, our roots are strong our branches reach outward, supple and long Searching, grasping, and ever growing, with strength and life that's warm and flowing Aware of the knowledge and constantly yearning to gain the secrets that come with learning And to feel the pain and toil of striving which turns to joy upon arriving. a - ,I ,J J' I N I f V 7-v'P. -L . 1. f - - ., n f . ,f 4, V A ' , .Aff-Kfff 1 gg Z ,uf if 7?
