The day after graduation most Seniors were enjoying their first day of relaxation without the thought of an unfinished research paper or a history map that should have been done days ago. The Meadowdale baseball team was waking up early to prepare for a great event, an event that they would never forget. While others were recuperating from the all-night Senior party, the boys' baseball team was in the process of winning the State Championship in the Kingdome on june 8, 1980. The Chiefs started toward the title by capturing the District 315 crown for the third straight year. Then it was on to the WESCO title. The team has not all graduated. Seven players have re- turned this year and are continuing their winning ways. The happenings of the 1980 graduates is like a big success story. Don Long, Bart Mackie, and john Churlin all have been drafted by major league teams. The 1980 Meadowdale baseball team worked together and played together on and off the field.
