,rf Wm. f' ' W 1 W . .vw V . , I SM I , . . The Boys' Track team was the top team in WESCO this year having an undefeated season. The experience of the numerous returnees, plus a strong group of Sophomores, led the team through each meet with a powerful finish. The Senior dominated team overtook many schools in- cluding Oak Harbor, and Shoreline by as much as forty points. The team has been one of the strongest Meadowdale has had in several years, according to Coach Nelson. Captain Steve Boe led the team in sprints along with hurd- lers Dave Malnes, lim Mahan, and Sophomores Terry Euling. junior Mike Holeman and Senior Lennie Usher dominated the field events. The boys' team worked well together at turnout as well as at the meets. They have provided the Chiefs with another ex- cellent season. 136 Boys' Track

Individual effort supports girls Individual excellence and concentrated effort made up for a lack of depth in the 1981 girls' track team. The squad, composed mainly of juniors, was led by Cristie Albano and Linda DeBoer in field events, Gayle Bray in the high jump, and in running events Tami Musgrave, Karen Turner, and Holly Anderson. Because of the lack of depth, the team lost often in spite of achieving a high number of individual first and second place finishes. Coach lulie Rowe, called this year's girls one of the hardest working teams we've had in years. With solid care of returning Seniors anticipated for next year, the girls' track team is looking forward to another fun and successful season in 1982. ,J fr 'V Q ft,,,.,1.
