The lively, mischievous grin glowing in a bronze face and the slim, dark-haired pretti- ness of a Latin girl gave to the MHS student body and faculty a feeling of international gaiety and friendship. During the past school year, Florante Mori from the Philippines and Est ela Bence from Argentina offered not only the warm, personal side of their lives to many friends at Meadowdale but also a first-hand report on life and people in their homelands. Although neither Estela nor Flor- ante were sponsored by the Meadowdale International Relations League, President Sheila Page and the members of IRL proudly adopted the two and eagerly guided them into school activities and upward toward a wider scope of American life. IRL officers, left to right: Jim Vaughn, secretary; Ste- phen Bird, lieutenant-colonel; Sheila Page, president; Ken Jennings, vice-president; Les Savitch, treasurer.

TWO TRAVELERS HOIST M.H.S. PRIDE IN HAMBUR Dear American Friends, | address you in the fading twilight of my high school life with one purpose in mind — to thank each and everyone of you for the happy and wonderful moments you have given me. ) In the name of Meadowdale Senior High School, | do really express my gratitude to the school administration through the principal for giving me the opportunity to study in this school. To the senior counselor, Mrs. Simpson for the guidance and help and to the dear members of the faculty for the wonderful classes | had with them. | On behalf of the whole student body, | should like to acknowledge the International Relations League and the Model United | Nations Organization, through the able leadership of Sheila Page and Barb Dart respectively. To all those who had given me more than what | had expected — | should like to convey my sincerest gratitude and appreciation for making my senior year a ) very memorable, if not the most memorable, time of my life. This is something | shall never forget. Again, | should like to say, but in my native language, ““MARAMI PONG SALAMAT SA INYONG LAHAT” — Thank you very much to all of you. Florante Mori (call me Butch)
