MARION KOLUDA With an inexperienced and small staff, the bi-monthly Chieftain labored to be a paper with quality writing and current news. Each issue improved as the Chieftain staff learned from their mistakes and gained experi- ence. The Chieftain emerged as a polished publication accurately reporting the views and activities of Meadowdale High School.

Over- coming deadline difficulties, the annual members worked together to produce the Meadowdale Mesi- ka. Always working, the staff re- corded the accomplishments and activities of Meadowdale students. Reaching upward toward success, the annual staff created the Mesika through a united effort. DEBATERS COLLECT WINS. Guided by Mr. King, the debate squad rose over inexperi- ence to place high in tournaments. The team debated about foreign aid, collecting cards of information about the subject in recipe boxes. Through debate, students learned to speak with assurance in public.
