LEE AORN LD OED 0 08 OE OE STUDENT GOVERNMENT PUSHES MEADOWDALE UPWARD Long hours of door-to-door salesmanship marked the opening activity of the Meadowdale Associated Student Body. The annual Magazine Fund Drive, which began with the usual groans and complaints, soon snapped into an enthusiastic contest between classes and sub- scription sellers. This first united effort by Meadowdale’s Student Body set the pace for the following school activities and community benefits. Throughout each event, both the record profit and the high spirit achieved by the students and the hard working ASB officers and council climaxed and highlighted the effort. This was the 4 1966 Big and Little Sister Banquet, “Bumming Around” The Banquet was only one of the many successful activi- ties sponsored by the Girls’ Club. Girls’ Club week cap- tured the interest of many girls. The week included a kick-off assembly, committee sign-ups, a pepsi party and a tea for teachers and students new to Meadowdale and the district. Many money-raising activities supplied the funds used to finance the Tolo held in February. Mem- bers of Girls’ Club worked in the concession stands dur- ing home games. The club also sponsored a movie and a dance. The Girls’ Club has worked for and with the girls of Meadowdale to make this year of 1966-67 a successful and active one.
