PATTI BURKE CAPTAIN | | MARGO JORAMO CO-CAPTAIN DRILL TEAM IS ON THE MARCH MRS. GILSON ADVISOR Under the harsh glare of stadium and gym lights, navy blue outfits and emblems stepped quickly into precise columns and difficult rou- tines. Each drill had taken hours of rigid practice and discipline; often the twenty-one girl team worked after school or in the evenings to im- prove and perfect their performance. Captain Patti Burke and co-captain Margo Joramo helped to create the many intricate routines and movements and to encourage the spirited style exhibited before pleased football and basketball crowds. At each assembly and pep rally, team members presented the flag and often sold pro- grams at the games. Respect and admiration from the student body increased as Drill Team, through hard work and dedication, became an important part of Meadowdale’s 1966-67 spirit and achievement.

This group is comprised of those girls who have earned a mini- mum of 1000 points in their G.A.A. activities. One of Let- terwomen’s main activities this year was sponsoring homecoming. Working stead- ily for over a month preparing for the dance, the girls efforts produced a successful and memorable homecoming. MARLENE MAXWELL MISS WEEKS MRS. WALLS For another year the screams of enthusiastic girls have echoed through the gym. These girls who turned out for G.A.A. strove not only for enjoyment but for the development of skills as well. During the various sports-days and playdays held with other schools, the girls had an opportunity to exercise these skills in competit ion. PATTY BURKE
