asia Meadowdale’s 22-member drill team has shown the stu- dent body that despite their small number, their “go” has not diminished. On the con- trary, the students have been proud of the intricate steps and patterns these girls have performed with endless en- ergy. The Girl’s Athletic Association has helped to promote sportsmanship among the girls at Meadowdale. G.A.A. gives girls an opportunity for participation in various sports. Inter-school play and field days have helped to promote valuable friendships with girls from other schools. When a member of G.A.A. earns 1000 points from participation in sports, she becomes a Letterwoman. Let- terwomen, in addition to G.A.A. participation, sponsored the homecoming dance. NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY Optimus, supervised by Mr. Rudy Kovacevich, is a growing society spirited by high ideals. The chapter members with their loyalty and enthusi- asm have worked hard to support the school. Initiation for probationary members has become a set tradition. This year it was held on the fifteenth day of December. Thirty-one new mem- bers were initiated.
