BLUES Blue and green angel hair caressed the sandy bottom of the sea at the Underwater Blues Tolo of 1965. From the rocky coral reefs, Ken Cloud’s orchestra music floated tenderly among the dancing couples. A mysterious, white pillared Grecian city provided a place for cool, tingling re- freshments. A sparkling jeweled cave en- tranced the couples as they entered the aquamarine atmosphere. Sunken ships from the pirateer era beheld glittering gems to the eye. Upon musty smelling nets, namecards in the shape of twin seahorses wavered. At twelve o'clock, a blue mist closed the marineland dream. Tolo was not the only success the Girls’ Club has had. Mother Goose is on the Loose was the delightful theme of the Big and Little Sister Banquet. Costumes ranged from Wee Willie Winkie to Mother Hub- bard’s dog. Later they will sponsor a movie, a father-daughter banquet, and the annual Mother-Daughter Tea. The Girls’ Club Advisors, Mrs. Scheel, Mrs. Mann, and Mrs. Meyers, have helped ad- vise President Sue Harter; Vice-President Barb Norman; Secretary, Linda Dodge; and Corresponding Secretary and Trea- surer, Barb Emel. y , Sa? BOYS’ CLUB Boys’ Club turned out to be quite successful in every- thing that was attempted. The annual can food drive was their major accomplishment. An out-door track meet is scheduled for the spring, and money has been rai sed for needy families. Active members of the club also worked in the concession stands. The main goal of Boys’ Club is to leave enough money behind for a reader board. It is because of the deep dedication to the club and the hard work put forth by the active members and the officers that the club has done so much. The leaders were: Jim Davidson, president; Mike Monnahan, vice-president; Ted Nelson, secretary; and Dick Birkenbeul, sergeant-in-arms.

The Girl’s Athletic Association has helped to promote sportsmanship among the girls at Meadowdale. G.A.A. gives girls an opportunity for participation in various sports. Inter-school play and field days have helped to promote valuable friendships with girls from other schools. When a member of G.A.A. earns 1000 points from participation in sports, she becomes a Letterwoman. Let- terwomen, in addition to G.A.A. participation, sponsored the homecoming dance.
