Debate Sue McAdams Carol Nofziger Bob Samuelson Barb King Jann Washkovich Appreciation is certainly deserved by Meadowdale ' s debate team which spent many hours in efforts to gain recognition for their school. Their victories would not have been possible without the guidance of Mr. Lynes King who willingly devoted hours of his time to the debaters. This year ' s debate team has worked hard to prepare for the various contests in which they participated. Many of these contests were state-wide and involved students from Washington ' s leading high schools. Debate activities include oral inter¬ pretation, oratory, impromptu, and extemporaneous speaking. Skip Hickey Mr. Lynes King Iris Green 86

I i Through the production of Finnian ' s Rainbow, Meadow- dale ' s Drama Class displayed its talent by supplying the majority of the leads and minor parts in the play. The two act, nine scene play demonstrated both the cast ' s and Mr. Crossett ' s ability to produce an entertain¬ ing musical from a relatively inexperienced cast. The Rainbow was started from scratch, and over a three month period an excellent production was created. For being in existence tor only one year, the Meadow- dale Drama Class has proven that the addition into the school curriculum of daily classes in dramatics has great potential.
