Keeler’s Cuties Robin Johnson takes part to help the soccer team during the Soccer Variety Show. 2 parts pancake part syrup Mr. Jur- gens watches with interest as Mrs. Gizzard mixes pancakes. 4 Our next contestant is ... Leslie Henry and Venson Wallin host the first Dating Game. Once Upon a Thon “If you got the money honey I’ve got the time.” Some of the money prob- lems at Meadowbrook were captured by many different fund raisers. Some of which included the Cart Wheel-a- Thon for the gymnastics team, the pancake supper for the Senior Scholarship fund, the ‘Dating Game” put on by the junior class for the prom, the Gong Show for the Sen- iors, the Soccer Variety show, and the list goes on and on. There are several different kinds of fund raisers that any- one can use but the most popular one, for both the or- 24 Once-upon-a-thon ganization and the students were the notorious candy sales. The candy sales were far more profitable than most. The History Club used movies to raise money. This year they brought the Bea- tles’ movie “The Yellow Sub- marine” to M.B.K. The facul- ty used the fashion show to help build up the Faulty Sen- ior Scholarship fund. The need for money never stops here, but neither do the fund raisers. Super Chief Mr. Binns makes use of a secret talent, pancake flipping.

What one interest besides music seems to be univerisal? What to wear! Whether one’s appearence is studied casual or middle of the road, the majority of the students were aware of both their own and every one else’s dress. Some students decided they'd like to play on this in- terest in clothes by putting on a fashion show, the pro- ceeds went to the scholar- ship fund. Mrs. Barbara Win- ston agreed to be in charge of the show which was pre- sented at 7:30 on May the 8th. The theme of the show was Dressed up with someplace to go Bobby Vaughan shows off a classy jogging outfit. Let’s be brief The swim suit is en- hanced by Wendy Hevener. Stop! Danny Brooks seems to be caught in action ina sports shirt that speaks for itself. 26 Fashion Show “Summer’s Breeze’ If “Summer's Breeze”, an easy theme to carry out visually. The clothing casual though- formal was borrowed from local clothing stores, the styles chosen by the models. The students, twenty in all, worked for three weeks get- ting the show ready for their audience. The turn out for the group netted about $150.00 dollars at $1.00 a head. The audience came out with a brand new interest in their own fashion, thanks to the twenty models. ED Can’t stop the rocking Students provided some lively entertainment during intermission.
