So what did they do? Betty Lou pleaded insanity. Dannie Kossman Janelle Meyer Bill Pratt Gale Williams Marlys Green Janice Higbee Cheryl Galyen Norma Lulow Mary Odland Bob Werner Duane Blair Terry James The Morgan family is an average one--father, mother, and two sons. Bryan, the elder, is a high-school senior, the idol of the whole school--AND of his mother. Jimmy is only the younger brother, practically overlooked in the radiance of Bryan's achievements. As in many families the father is taken for granted--unless he does something that doesn't please. In such a case--which is frequent--Mrs. Morgan tells him off in no uncertain terms. There is, however, a definite spark of manly independence in father and younger son. Boning up on how to get ahead, these worms do turn and keep on turning--aided and abetted by Mitzi, the tomboy girl next door. Mr. Morgan boldly spends his entire bonus on a boat. Then, through plots and plans with their tough newsboy. Muggy, Mr. Morgan gets Bryan and his basketball team kidnapped; so Jimmy can be in the school play in Bryan's place. Both have their special dreams fulfilled; and Jimmy, moreover, gets to play opposite the school's glamorous Juliet--his brother's girl, Melissa. But the plot goes agley thereafter. Muggy and his pals refuse to let the team go in time for their great game. But Mitzi comes to the rescue with a scheme straight from Homer's Odyssey ; and Melissa teaches the modern sirens how to vamp the enemies and free the team. So--alI ends well! Mr. Morgan ceases to be NOW, TIMOTHY J! and becomes again Mrs. Morgan's beloved T and his suddenly apreciative boss gives him a raise. The victorious team, following Bryan and Melissa, pair up with the dazzling cheer leaders for the prom; and Jimmy, having made Miss Johnston's play a success, suddenly discovers his real Juliet next door--in lovely Mitzi Townes. AND the audience meets the genuine ROMEO MORGAN. 33 DECLAMATORY CONTEST “NOBODY SLEEPS” Spike . . Glory . . Daisy . . . Ada .... Mrs. Busby . . . Many of the Meadow Grove games were closely played and a break either way could have given the squad several different victories. The football team played several exciting games only to find they could not come out on top at the final gun. The Sophomore and Junior footballers showed considerable improvement over last season and as a result manned some of the positions on the offensive and defensive units. Coach Adamson expects to have a winning season next year as there were only five Senior squadmen.
