During the past two years no problem has been too small to be helped by Coach. We appreciate the kindness and patience he has given us during the past two years. Due to the extensive training under his guidance, we have put forth our best efforts. To show our appreciation and gratitude to your faithful service to this school, we, the Senior Class of Meadow Grove High School, dedicate the 1961-62 Trojan to you, Coach Perry. Trojan Staff Super in t en dent’s Every year the Seniors compose a book of memories. The business people in Meadow Grove and friends of the school in neighboring towns contribute to a fund known as the Trojan Fund which makes this publication possible. In the past issues there has been a statement recognizing the contributions made by these people. It might be worthwhile to consider the value of the 1962 Trojan in the lives of those who will have access to it. An education which does not contribute to a lifetime of happiness is not a complete success. For sure, knowledge gained is important, but many people depend on their social life more than they do on anything else as a measure of the success of their high school career. Can you imagine two Seniors who have not seen each other for five years meeting accidentally and discussing the subject matter found in a geometry book or a science book? I have heard some talk by alumni, and the things which they remembered as important were social rather than educational. In spite of the Russians, the criteria for judging the value of a high school is still mental, physical, and social development, and I hope you have not been neglected. 6 Facul ty Wm. E.
