It has been their aim to provide you with an interesting record by presenting the cast of students as they appeared on the stage of the Meadow Grove Public School. I feel that the staff made a wise choice in the dedication of this book. Parents through their interest and constructive criticism have made this school what it is today. By your graduation, Class of 60, you are nearer the time when you will be asked to accept the responsibility of taking an active part in providing education. It is essential that you now realize the important function schools play in the development of society and that you do all in your power to see that insignificant notions, activities, and prejudices do not stand in the way.

It has been our most sincere purpose to compile and publish this 1959—60 edition of the TROJAN to the best of our ability. Our endeavor is to revive pleasant memories and enable each student to recapture and relive his adventures in high school. We, the seniors of 1960 wish to dedicate this annual to our parents. It is our most sincere desire to express to them our deepest gratitude for their patience and understanding during our school days. We would like to say thanks” for their guidance during our troubles and also for rejoicing during our times of triumph. We hope that when we become parents we can give our children as much love, patience, and understanding as our parents have given us. May God bless them. —2—
