’62 MEMORIES As this year will fade into memo- ries, may this yearbook help to re- capture the joyous moments of 1962. May you be reminded as you see each division page that time is passing swiftly. Published by Yearbook Staff of Meade Bible Academy Meade, Kansas Mr. Abe Heinrichs SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE In these days of infiltration on our minds by many Godless philosophies, we need to be a school that keeps our hearts, thoughts, and deeds Christ-centered. We must observe that we glorify God and keep his commandments. To do this will continue to require our every effort, our courage, our will- ingness, and humility. Strive to enter into the straight gate. It is our wish and desire that this annual will remind us of these goals and aid in the development of effort, courage, willingness, and humility. The Closed Door was the play the juniors chose to present as their class play, November 21, 1961. Barbara Classen, as Portia Grey, and Anita Stoll, as Louise Grey, played the leading roles. I BIBLE EMPHASIS WEEK Rev. Marvin Hein of Hillsboro, Kansas, was the featured speaker at the Bible Emphasis Week, January 21-26, 1962. Evening services were held in the EMB Church sanctuary. Various men of the scriptures were discussed by Rev. Hein in these services. Students gathered in chapel every day for morning and afternoon services. Morning chapels were spent in studying the book of James. Five D's—death, drink, dollars, dating, and devotions were discussed in the afternoons. Rev. Hein was also available for special counseling sessions with students. A KING IS BORN” A King is Born was dramatized by the students at their annual Christmas program, December 21, 1961. The first scene told of the prophecy of Isaiah. The subsequent scenes portrayed the birth of Christ, the announce- ment to the shepherds, and the visit of the Magi. Appropriate music for each scene was sung by the various musical organizations. Modern Isaiah and the Mixed Chorus performed the concluding scene. This scene clearly presented the entire message of the program-- Christians must go and tell this glad story to every tribe and nation. MUSIC E. Loewen, S. Stoll, L. Isaac, B. Isaac, B. Classen, S.
