CLASS PROPHECY A round-robin letter, postmarked 1974, reveals interesting facts about the Senior Class of 1959. Shirley Schmidt writes about her promotion to Head of the Accounting Department for General Motors Corporation in Detroit, Michigan. Teaching Biology in Kentucky University is Julia Isaacs. Her favorite pas- time is racing in the Kentucky Derby. In the Belgian Congo, Mary Ann Isaac is teaching a school for African children. We discover that Dora Classen is an artist for the National Audubon Soc- iety at the General Headquarters in New York City. From Windsor, Ontario, designer Eldon Loewen sends us several sketches for the 1975 Canadian Mercury. Working for the Wycliff Bible Translators, Della Classen is translating the New Testament into the language of the Auca Indians. From the offices of Central Airlines in Liberal, Kansas, Stewardess Erma Isaac writes us that she attended the Annual Pancake Day. As a spectator, she saw the former Patty Harms dash across the finish line to win the race with a new time record. Daryl Harris, a lawyer in Colorado Springs, has just won his latest case in the State Tribunal Court. Among the group of letters, Marilyn Classen's is from M.B.A. She is teaching Music and English at her Alma Mater. From the state of Alaska, Pauline Friesen reports that she is working for an orphanage in Anchorage. As a preacher's wife, The former Nola Janzen is busy working with her hus- band in a small country church in Wisconsin. Ernie Classen is the chief Engineer for the Construction Company that is building a dam for the Tennessee Valley Authority. Darlene Harder, studying music in Paris, will make a concert tour of the United States in 1976. In a letter from Los Angeles, California, Jean Friesen says that she is the Director of Nursing in a Veterans Hospital. 13
