CLASS PAOPHCCy Let's take a trip to the different parts of the United States and see where the Senior Class of '53 is and what each member is doing ten years from now. Before we leave Meade, let's see who is keeping the home fires burning . It is none other than Lawrence Friesen. His cattle ranch in Meade County has paid great dividends. We leave Meade County and travel to Wichita to visit Adina Doerksen who is the head nurse in the Wesley Hospital. Leaving Wichita we decide to see Elvira Ediger. Her dream has come ture. She is teaching home economics and physical education at Kansas State College in Manhattan. We continue on our journey to Goshen, Indiana where Ervin Friesen is a professor at Goshen College. His sweet little wife is a great help when it comes to grading his papers. Our next stopping place is Chicago, Illinois. Howard Friesen is a very successful doctor in a large hospital here. Yes, Erna Isaac is also in Chicago doing child evangelism work. She is busy leading many children to the Lord. We couldn't forget to visit with the former Bette Stoll for a few minutes. She enjoys her work as a nurse in a large hospital in Chicago. Our trip continues to Mississippi. We find Alma Isaac's face beaming out from among the negro children's faces. She and her husband just love their work. We must hurry on to Adams, Oklahoma. Here we find JoAnn Friesen. Her husband is a veterinarian, and she is teaching voice in high school besides doing her housework. We knew all the time what she would do. Our next jump is to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Dean Harder is a well known scientist working at the atomic energy plant here. His courses in science while he was in M. B. A. surely help him now. 9

PHYLLIS FRIESEN wills her large wardrobe to Doris Classen. HOWARD FRIESEN wills his height to Junior Ediger. JAKE CLASSEN wills his ability to make the right remarks at the wrong time to Norman Friesen. DEAN HARDER wills his initiative to make A's to the sophomore boys. ELVIRA EDIGER wills her height and slimness to Frances Classen. ELDIN CLASSEN wills his deep base voice to Pete Rempel. DELORIES HARDER wills her talkative ways to Judith Bergen. LAWRENCE FRIESEN wills his ability to go to school without studying and still be a senior to Harry Isaac. BETTE STOLL wills her ability to play softball to Shirley F riesen. ERVIN FRIESEN wills his ability to play the piano to Donald Isaac. ADINA DOERKSEN wills her aim of being a nurse to Lavina F riesen. MERLE LOEWEN wills his all around athletic ability to Martin Reimer. JOANN FRIESEN wills her long wavy hair to Darlene Classen. WALTER WIENS wills his intelligence to Walter Rempel with the hope that he will make better use of it than has been done so far. BETTY HARDER wills her freckles to Alvina Loewen, who might accidently be cute with them. MELVIN ISAAC wills his ability to find a girl and to keep her all through high school to Menno Classen. ALMA ISAAC wills her ability to make A's in citizenship to all the students in general. ERNA ISAAC wills her ability to leave boys alone to Wilma Janzen. LYDIA LOEWEN wills her snappy looking Model A to Harder. We as the Senior Class will our ability to work together for the glory of God to the Sophomore Class. Duane 8

We attend some revival meetings which are held in a large tent here in Albuquerque. We can hardly believe our eyes when we see Phyllis Friesen at the piano. She and her husband tour the country conducting revival meetings. ( » We can't leave till we have seen the former Lydia Loewen. She teaches a Sunday School Class and is the pianist in a large church. Our next stopping place is Portland, Oregon, where we find Merle Loewen and his attractive red-headed wife. He is the pastor of a small church in this city. Just before we leave this parsonage, Eldin Classen enters the door. We are informed that he is the Youth for Christ director. He also does much singing in meetings. Our next destination is Denver, Colorado. What do you know! Walter Wiens is supporting his family by being a Mennonite lawyer. Shall we return to Meade? Let's visit M. B. A. Here Jake Classen is a well-liked professor of mathematics. Betty Harder is a busy housekeeper. She and her husband are living on a dairy farm, also near Meade. Delories Harder is also a housewife. In M. B. A. we already knew that she and her husband would live on a farm. Last we visit Melvin Isaac. He is a very prosperous dairyman. His experience along this line while he was still in school has proved to be helpful.
