RON TIMM SCOTT PICKWORTH GO TO STATE TRACK The boys track team has worked hard all year and were rewarded by many important team and individual rewards. These included being in shape and also placing at many important track meets. Many individual goals were set and were achieved by their efforts in such events as: Hurdles, relays, running events, and field events. Goals were achieved by the athletes attitudes to do work on their own and at practice. Boys track started on March It, 1985 with their first meet on March 15, at Boys Town. The team consisted of 12 boys: Seniors - Roger Conrad, Ron Timm, David Carlson. Juniors - Scott Pickworth, Gus Schliffke, Jon Van Bibber, Skip Hayford. Sophomores - Scott Osterloh, Tim Hannan. Freshmen - Shannon Pickworth, John Haag, Kirk Ueberrhein. The boys were rewarded for their efforts at the District track meet at Columbus on May 8, with two state bound athletes: Ron Timm (110 High Hurdles - 1st - 15.7 sec.) and Scott Pickworth (Long Jump 2nd - 20'4 and 110 high hurdles 2nd - 15.8 sec. The State Track Meet was held on May 17 and 18 at Omaha Burke.
