Theresa Nissen BACK ROW, L-R: Chris Bergman, Gail Hanson, Robi Black, Lisa Swanson, Nona Nissen, Debbie Nygrcn, Julie Behrens, Lori Langemeicr, Patti Johnson, Cindy Ellison, Sheila Way, Linda Brown. The Mead Raiderettes ended the year with one of the best season records they've had since the start of girls basketball. The girls got off to a slow start with a 4-4 record going into the Christmas vacation. Mead had a 9 4 record going into the Conference Tournament. In the First round Mead blasted Cedar Bluffs 58-30, and in the se- cond round Mead defeated Bennington 47- 43 and in the Championship game they outlasted East Butler in the final seconds to win the ECNC Tournament with a score of 25-24. Mead ended their regular season with a winning record of 14-4 and headed into the District Tournament. In the first round Mead whipped Logan View 54-37, and downed David City High 43-31 in the se- cond round. In the Championship game Mead held on to their 3rd victory over East Butler, dumping them 44-38. Mead then traveled to Columbus Scotus, to challenge Cedar Rapids, in the regional playoff game, but ended up losing in overtime by the score of 45-49. Raiderettes ended their season with a 17-5 winning record. CON- GRATULATIONS RAIDERETTES!!!
