VOLLEYBALL CHAMPS VOLLEYBALL Mental sharpness, Physical fitness, and Spiritual readiness, were three things stressed by Coach R. E. Haag, in the 1981 season that led the Raiderettes to a 12-4 record. The Raiderettes started the season by losing to Class B Omaha Mercy. From there the season was slow by winning four and losing two and then reaching their peak by winning eight straight games and being- defeated by Wahoo Neumann in the first round Districts. The Raiderettes have one returning letter winner from the 1981 season. There will be eight promis- ing senior prospects, six juniors, nine sophomores, and possibly nine freshmen. The Raiderettes ended the season by being ECNC tournament champs and ECNC Conference champs. They had six girls selected for ECNC All Con- ference Teams. Chris Bergman — First team, Deb Nygren and Patti Johnson — Second team, Robi Black, Julie Behrens, and Amber Nygren were chosen for Honorable Mention.
