Reflections of 69 69 - Sixty-nine - LXIX Just as it can be written many ways The year 69 means many things to many people. For the volleyball team it meant a successful season with two championships. Our basketball team this year showed promise for upcoming years. To the seniors it was a sentimental year - Their last at ole M.H.S. For the freshmen it was the beginning of four long hard years. For some 69 was a year to forget For others a year they will always cherish. The 69 yearbook is dedicated to showing what 69 meant to the students at M. H. S. We, the staff, invite you to open the pages of this book to reflect back upon 69. 2

Dedicated to Nancy Lee Schneider Nancy was honored in High School by being chosen Homecoming queen, cheerleader, class officer, play usher, prom server, Graduation Grand Marshall, and FFA Sweetheart. She was on the honor roll, and participated in the class plays and musical activities. She was well-liked and popular with all, and maintained loyal friendships whether at home, school, or work. Nancy was a 1967 graduate of Mead Public School and continued her educational training in business at the School of Commerce in Omaha, where she maintained high honors. In April, 1968, Nancy graduated from C.E. only to be felled by a lingering illness in May. Though she passed away, her friendships and memories will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. It is to her memory that we dedicate the 1969 Raider. 3
