The squad numbered 38 at the start of the season. In the ECNC conference Mead was number 1 in first downs, yardage passing, rushing, and even blocked punts. Despite all this Mead had an average of 24. 5 points a game; whereas, their opponents only had an average of 24 points a game. Over the whole year Mead statistics are as follows: Total yards gained - 2,012, Average yds. gained -251.5, Opponents yds. gained - 1941, Average yds. gained - 242. 6. With only two seniors on the squad Mead looks forward to bright seasons in the years ahead. No matter how you see it. Coach Heller walks the bench in his usual style.

Varsity A time-out to rest, drink and receive further orders. This year the Varsity boosted a seasonal record of seventeen wins and nine losses. Their wins accounted for themselves a third place trophy at the€.C. N.C. Basket- ball Tourney. The Raiders also gained high honors by being awarded the sportsmanship trophy at the District Tournament. It is with well-deserved pride that we salute the Varsity team as a team to be proud of!!!
