Of the original group who began in the first grade Delmar Sagert is the only one to stay and continue through the 12 grades at Mead. Adrian Sabatka and Arnold Kudlacek joined Delmar in the fourth grade. Durene Drews and Margaret Ueberrhein became members of the class during the seventh grade. Virginia Moser joined them in the eight grade. Those who enrolled as Freshmen were: Melvin Carlson, Gwen Hage- man, Delores Magnuson, Dorothy Ostry, Delores Seely, and Marlene Hobza. The class chose Mr. D. L. Priestly as their class sponsor. Class officers were President, Delores Seely; Vice President, Virginia Moser; Secretary, Delmar Sagert; and Treasurer, Gwendolyn Hageman. In the Sophomore we were under the sponsors of Miss Marian McNaught. Marlene Hobza left our class at the end of the year and Bill Armold took up his position at Mead High. Our class officers this year were President, Del- mar Sagert; Vice President, Adrian Sabatka; Secretary, William Armold; Treasurer, Arnold Kudlacek. As we took up the Junior year we had Mr. Bodzek as our sponsor. Class officers were President, Kathryn Leaf; Vice President, Arnold Kud- lacek; Secretary, Margaret Ueberrhein; Treasurer, Dorothy Ostry. The highlites of the Junior year were the class play Cracked Nutts and making the annual. Now as we are Seniors we are under the sponsorship of our principal, Mr. Anderson. Our Class officers are President, Gwendolyn Hageman; Vice President, Delores Seely; Secretary, Kathryn Leaf; Treasurer, Virginia Moser. We are looking forward to the Junior-Senior Picnic, Sneak Day, and our Class Play, Take Your Medicine.
