open house Seventh grade orientation is a day when the incoming 7th grade students can come and get acquainted with the school and faculty. Many of these were students who came with parents to meet and get a feel for the school. Open House was held on Thursday, Nov. 16. Intermural Champions were determined by several games played. Parents and students were able to hear the band and freshman mixed ensemble perform. grade orientation

Middle Row- Trecia Campbell, Lisa Dando, Lcasha Headrick, Kathleen Frazier, Back Row- Michelle Evans, Kendall Whitley, Trish Crawford, Shawn Davenport, Lori Roberts, Eddie Lyday united way Mead Students whole-heartedly participated in the 1978 United Way campaign. Fourth hour classes had everything from rock-a-thons to carwashes to send a kiss to raise money. The winning class won the contest with a total of $17.54 per person. They received a pizza party for their efforts. The top ten classes also had a party. 26
