Panthers Howl SITTING: Cecelia Austin, Margaret Freeborg. STANDING: Allyne Moore, N Kathleen Mcllvanie, Judy Poffentoth, Jack Hensley, Sandra Bennett, Frank Knott, Rosemary Dellwo. Some enterprising Seniors last fall feltrhat Mead High School was in dire need of a school paper. They discussed the possibility of including a class on Journalism in the school curriculum with Mr. Jenkins. Sixteen Seniors enrolled. Weekly editions are now published, giving school news and up-to-the minute survey. Each member of the class has had the experience of being editor and associate editor. These students learn layout, news writing, feature story writing, and interviews. The Panther's Howl was accepted well by students and we hope that our paper will be continued.
